1. Decisions and moshaikus

  1. Foundation

    1. A decision is easier to make with this practice:

    2.     1. The generation of calm, respect and faith towards the persons that will help us to make it

    3. 2. The expresion of the generated calm, respect and faith with a moshaiku

  3. Respect

  4. You have verified on many occasions the power of respect. When people are treated with respect their reactions are very different from those present when respect is lacking. When respect is extended too to other things, the situations created have also a very special quality. This prompts us to make respect the foundation of what we seek. We then try to foster calm, as this is a state that favors the generation of respect, and also practice faith, as this is a high expression of it.

  5. Symbol of Balance

  6. We've seen that a moshaiku is an object with a unique property: all circuits (paths beginning and ending at the same point) are balanced. This feature makes it a natural Symbol of Balance. In our particular case, the balance represented by the moshaiku is the one that exists among all factors that make up the present moment, and as such we’ll use it to move from a situation of equilibrium characterized by indecision to another one in which the mind is clear.

  7. Major and minor decisions

  8. Two methods are proposed to make decisions: The Moshaiku Little Path and The Moshaiku Path. The first one is appropriate for minor decisions, and does not take long to be completed. The second is for more important ones and needs more time and dedication.

  9. Unknown obstacles

  10. An important feature of both paths is that you don’t need to know the precise obstacles to your decision, because chances are both may help you anyway. It is also possible that by following them you recognize some hindrances not seen before, providing thus more insight into the situation.

  11. Individual and collective decisions

  12. Both methods can be used when you are the sole responsible for taking the decision. And also when a group of people has to decide collectively and finds it difficult to reach an agreement. This can happen because none of them knows what to do, or because they hold different views on what decision to take. If each person in the group follows the corresponding path things can be easier in this respect.

  13. Differences with other methods

  14. It is relevant to clarify the differences of the methods presented here with some methods of divination. To begin with, the former did not give answers to what is wanted or something whose interpretation would lead to it, but rather some recommendations to find it. Moreover, unlike what happens with most of the latter, their recommendations are clearer (being, speaking, listening, accepting, questioning, etc..), less subject to interpretation as we’ll see.

  15. Experimental nature

  16. Note that both methods are ways to investigate the effect of respect in decisions, and are thus experimental in nature. In the same spirit of inquiry, if you decide to apply them please consider sharing your results afterwards.
